PhD candidate (co-advised with Eric Allan)

I am a plant ecologist interested in the study of the impacts of global change on plants and terrestrial ecosystems. My PhD project is aiming to characterize how resources and enemies affect the mechanisms of plant coexistence, and ultimately, plant communities and ecosystem functioning.
I am currently studying the impacts of nitrogen enrichment and foliar pathogen exclusion on intraspecific and interspecific competition between 20 perennial species in PaNDiv experiment (Bern, Switzerland). I will use these measures of competition to parameterise coexistence models, and furthermore, test whether incorporating indirect and higher order interactions into these models will improve their predictive ability.
